I break the mold — adjusting to your creativity. Whether it is a canvas drinking burgundy and gold, or a sentence learning to breathe, the work is the same: to speak to people's emotions and adjoin the reader, the viewer, with its sentiments.

The Atelier

Two crafts,
one hand.

Maryam Alexander moves between the easel and the page. In the atelier she builds surfaces of burgundy ink and gold leaf; at the desk she writes copy, stories and scripts that turn readers into believers.

Artyam Gallery is her home for the visual work — a growing collection of paintings, exhibitions and editions. The pen, meanwhile, never stops: website copy, blogs, social stories, whitepapers, screenplays.

The Atelier Instruments

Tools for
art lovers.

A small cabinet of instruments from Maryam's studio — open to everyone. Play, mix, sketch, steal a palette. Everything runs right here in your browser.

Drop in any image — or choose one of Maryam's works — and the atelier will distil its essential palette. Click a swatch to copy its hex.

Palette source

Paint with mouse or touch — slow strokes run thin, fast strokes run wide.

Choose a single seed color; the wheel returns its families — complementary, analogous, triadic and split. Click any swatch to copy.

Writer's block is just a door waiting for the right knock. Draw a prompt from Maryam's cabinet — for painters and writers alike.

"The writing which we do is something different — we speak to people's emotions."
